Shawty

This is my latest music video with the local group Natural Vibrations. It took two days to shoot, one in front of a green screen with the band, and one by koko head crater with the kid actors.

Music videos are always a blast because I get to try new things out. For this video I wanted to shoot the band with a free flowing camera. I wanted to be able to weave, spin, pan, jib and zoom past each band member. The solution? My DP Mat Medeiros (the carpenter) and myself came up with a home-made spinning platform in front of a green screen. The idea was to shoot each band member while they rotated in front of camera. This gave me the freedom in post to fly by each band member and to also combine them on screen with the other band members.
